Charles (CJ) Scott - Hurricanes Founder & Head Coach


Coach Charles (CJ) Scott “Cee Jay”, graduated from Thomas Dale High School where he played Fullback and Linebacker, with a record of 40-5 including Junior Varsity Season and Playoffs.  He furthered his career at Chowan University, Murfreesboro, NC, where he was team captain and currently holds the record for rushing touchdowns scored in one game.  Coach Scott began his coaching career in 2008 for Falling Creek Football Association, Chesterfield, VA. He then transferred to the Chalkley Football Association, in 2009, where he began as the Offensive Coordinator and moved to Head Coach.  In 2010, the Chalkley Steelers ages 12-14, won the Championship with a 12-0 season.  In 2012, he founded the central Virginia hurricanes and was the head coach of the 14U team which went on to win a number of championships at the local, state and regional level. He became the 12U head coach in 2021, and is now the head coach of 9U. The Central Virginia hurricanes started with one team and 12 players; and is now an organization of over 200 players ranging from 6U-14U. Coach Scott is also the head varsity coach for Huguenot High School. .
